The Wilson Center’s Middle East Program hosts the official report launch of Women Entrepreneurship in MENA: The Cases of Bahrain, Lebanon and Tunisia - the second flagship report published by MEP’s Middle East Women Initiative (MEWI). The report explores the barriers and enablers for women entrepreneurs based on global, regional, and national data, as well as interviews with experts and business leaders from across the MENA region. The region continues to face challenges in increasing female labor participation and women entrepreneurship. By zooming into Bahrain, Lebanon, and Tunisia, this report identifies commonalities as well as lessons learned that can be replicated elsewhere in the region.
