As the new U.S. administration takes office in January 2025, its approach to interconnected challenges will shape the future of U.S.-Mexico relations. From economic ties and migration to security, strong leadership will be key to fostering collaboration and strengthening bilateral ties. To support this effort, the Wilson Center’s Mexico Institute has developed a comprehensive booklet offering actionable recommendations in six key areas: migration, security, USMCA, energy, water, and democracy. These priorities are essential for promoting sustainable development, enhancing security, and deepening cooperation across North America.
